Looks like a Brittle Sea Star to me, depending on what is in your tank it may or may not be harmful. It will prey on weakened/sick fish but is, from my research, coral safe.
Glad to know it’s harmless. Still it tells me there is more left over food in the tank to have few of them. Not sure when it got into my tank. Never seen it be4. And these days I look for it but never see them. I know it’s in there
I just want to add some more info to this for those researching. Just be careful with these brittle stars if they are the big ones...( don't worry at all about the tiny ones ) if you have a new system as they are said to eat up all the beneficial bacteria in your sand bed that you need for filtration so I would pull it and sell it but its up to you and the kind of system you are aiming for and weather you choose to believe this information.
