Fish are fairly easy, go with small ones like neon tetras and stuff.

The colour is basically the same as the blasting sand I have been using for years but the grain size is much larger and should allow some water to flow through it to reduce bad air pockets.

I recently had a plumbing problem and had to grab a short piece of junk hose to siphon some water out of the toilet. Aquarium hobby gave me the idea.

This was info I had never really thought about asking but I am glad it was asked. I have removed some extra roots when moving plants but not down that short, nice to know I can cut back that much.
