I know nothing about seawater fish but why not try to transfer to Swissgaurd as soon as the eggs are laid. That brood could be saved! At worse, it'll be lost while trying/learning. Just a thought.

Eggs started to hatch yesterday (January 4th, 2017). Incubation took one day more than last time due to not using heater. Temperature is at 65-66F (about 18-19 C).

I read that angelfish would spawn every 2 weeks. If that fish did not lay any egg and is healthy, it probably is naturally thicker.

What are your breeding plans for 2017?

My 2017 goldfish breeding program will include:

- Ranchus,
- Tosakins,
- Celestials,
- Blue egg phoenixes (bep).

This program will have to wait till May when the fish will be ready.

There might not be many Canadians who plan or make it a regular project to breed goldfish. In fact, I know only a handful. Concerning eggs and fry, goldfish will eat all and almost anything.
