I just got back from the auction. Don't waste your time for aquatic goods. I spoke to the boys from DRAS, the auction wasn't advertised enough for the aquatics people. The only real information that came out was about a week ago.

There were probably 40 - 50 items at most for auction and I'd say it was 45 % fish stuff.

All in all, for $14 admission it was a let down, considering that I'm not a huge reptile guy. The wife found a uromastyx she wants, so that's a positive.

Anyway, from speaking to the boys from DRAS they said that next year the auction is going to be primarily vendors such as AK, PJ, BA etc.

Are you being nice?

So, anyways, today I was gardening, swimming, drinking, re-scaping my Fluval 7.9g nano (looks great again), cutting glass for tank tops, hung some pic frames for daughter and the lovely wife let me sleep in! Oh, and surfing GTA Aquaria site. K?

What about you?

Its a reptile expo! IMO if they wanted to include us, they should include us in the name!

Thanks for the feedback on 'Reptile Expo'

DRAS hosts the auction and actually did want to include the aquatics guys. Fact of the matter is that like 'Big Al's Aquarium Superstore' (who carry reptiles and amphibians) the goal was to make them work hand in hand. Unfortunately no one marketed it well enough. Bottom line is it can work if the information was out there. I know plenty of people who can't wait to attend one of these shows soon. This would have been a great kicker!

It's too bad DRAS didn't handle it correctly. Not to mention the $14 etrance nprice tag is too much.

Anyway, can't wait for Hamilton!
