bob123 is just really nice
Thumbs up Auctions

It is getting to that time of year when aquarium clubs start holding their annual or semi annual auctions. The first one being Hamilton on the 6th of March 2011, then Brantford show and auction on the 27th of March, then Durham on April 10/11. For more details check the Caoac web site under calender for other times and places lots of bargins to be had.

I am also going to be a the Hamilton Auction...come by and say Hello! I am short with red hair, and Im always flitting about looking at stuff on the tables, can't sit still for that long. This is a great place to find plants and things for your tanks. Mostly Cichlid and Plecos and some Angels for sale, with a few other types of fishes. Come on out its a good day.

Sorry but most people won't bring shrimps...as the prices usually go for around $1-5 bag. If you wait long enough you can get bags of plants going for $2 bag. Last time someone brought Bettas and they were going for $1, it was a shame, but that's the way some auctions are.

True, Some things you can get a great deal on but other things are a sellers market. I have seen a small bag of java moss go for 9$ I have also seen some plecos go for 60$ - 70$ each. I think if it is a wanted item it can go for more than LFS sell them for. I have paid more for fish than they are sold for at some stores. But you are right most stuff is sold too cheap.

Just checked and yes it is down as of now March 1 at 9 pm. Could be that they are updating it? I was on it last week and it was alright.
