Default The blue cobalt discus that were at PJ's pet in Mississauga

Well, last week, they decided to lay eggs on a tree stump we have in their tank. Today, we were watching the fry latch on to their parents and swim around, feeding off them. Here are some pics (at the beginning of the journey and today, fry swimming around):

The reflection you see is our other 120g of discus/angel/kribs mix.. we have two more in the office next door (55 and a 55) both with other juvie discus, and more in our basement so... yea.. we're busy :-)
Thanks for the comments. We have another pair of discus we grew from young that have paired up but are on strike right now and not producing. These ones were.. yea.. a very lucky find.

Thanks. Now getting close to week three and we lost about a dozen of them. But the rest seem to be doing well and growing. We're crossing our fingers that we'll get to enjoy the live ones for longer. In their own tank now. We hope we didn't move them out too early (when they were 2 weeks old). Time will tell. Looks like the parents are getting ready for their second batch.

Him your discus breeding is inspiring. How many survive from the first batch?
