QT and Discus
So, I have four wonderful fish right now but what I was wondering is what to do if I wanted to add one or two more?
I am personally freaked about adding more fish, I don't want to pick up some horrible disease that kills my whole tank. :/
What do you guys do for QT and discus? I could set up a 20-30 gallon tub for QT'ing but what other things do you all prefer to do? Do you medicate off the bat or only do so if the fish is looking sickly?
Any advice and tips would be greatly appreciated

First of all you should never buy a fish that looks sickly lol but even healthy looking fish can still carry deadly diseases. But most fish will carry some kind of bugs on them so when you add new fish to an established tank you are also introducing new bugs to your system but these bugs will not harm your healthy fish.
For Discus QT is a good idea and I found that Furan 2 is very effective in the QT tank and one treatment should be enough to combat a wide variety of gram-positive and gram-negative bacterial diseases and you should be able to put this fish in your show tank in 2 weeks but if you decided not to use med than you should QT the fish for at least 4 weeks and make sure you donít see any signs of diseases.
BTW, a all glass QT is much better to view the fish than a tub since you want to see the fish for any signs of diseases.
