I moved the two melons about a week ago, my son got fed up with them always bolting away to the point of hurting themselves. They just got these spots yesterday, they are in a 40 gallon with 2 baby bnp lots of plants bare bottom I pushed all the plants to one side to make a good hiding spot for them. 82deg 7.5 ph slolwly bringing ph down I'll get another heater the one I have is turned up all the way.

Your heater is under powered if it max out at 82 or not working very well. I'd replace it with EHEIM Jager Heaters from bigals its good and have at least 2 thermometers in the tank to double check. Discus like warm and clean water your bnpleco may like a little cooler though but they'll be fine just make sure you give them algae wafer too so they don't get bloated from cleaning the discus meaty food.

It may have been a very light form of fungus. I don't think ich would be cured in 24hrs. Keep them under observation in the next 3-4 days and medicate them again just to make sure that whatever they had its gone.
