I've used similar rocks in the past (once I do vinegar test, and also soak them in 1 part chlorine to 3 parts water overnight, followed by another 24 hours in water with about half a cap of prime, to remove any microscopic critters). I haven't had issues todate, however I also don't have any sensitive fishes or shrimp in my tanks, so depending on what you got and the water conditions they require.
Incidentally, I have found that going to landscape supply sites, instead of specialized aquarium stores gets me some nice rocks at way cheaper prices. The size that are usually ideal for aquariums, are usually part of the 'rubble' for landscape suppliers.
