Excuse me... I do happen to be a member of TWAS as well as MASD. I have sat on non-profit boards for Toronto based non-profits, national non-profits and international non-profits as the treasurer in all 3 cases. I am currently working with the Ontario Genealogical Society Toronto Branch on putting together the 2010 Ontario Genealogical conference... I HIGHLY DOUBT I complain when I make comments and let the others do all the work.

Edit:
Oh... and I have taught financial management for non-profits as well as financial statement interpretation for board members to non-profits from 4 different continents at international conferences that I have attended, for which I did not receive any compensation for

Come see me at the auction. I'll get you the forms or you can go to HDAS.CA and join online and pay by paypal. Membership is only $25 for a whole year.

I used to be a member of WAS about 25 years ago. It was a thriving club then with yearly shows, auctions. Hell we even hosted a CAOAC convention.
What happened?

IMO Apathy is what happened. No-one wants to lead the club so the current executive gets re-elected time after time, and nothing much happpens. Currently the same handful of people come to the meetings and there is no new fresh blood. There was talk about doing an auction about a year ago... but that was all it was.

It's a shame. There were some great enthusiastic people at that time.
Steve Saunders expert on bettas, Art Halpert live bearer king.
Wonder what happened to them.
I moved out of the area and joined Hamilton club.

I went today and had a really good time. It wasn't very far only an hour drive from Scarb. There were some L199, a pair of L182, an L201, tons of BN and a couple of kinds of whiptials. There was also lots of nice cories I got some Weitzmani, Simillis and Barbatus.
