Default Cycling a saltwater tank

Hi all. I started cycling my 60 cube today. I did buy some nutrifying bacteria to do the cycle but changed my mind and will cycle the tank with shrimp instead.

So i went to my local foodmart to purchase a shrimp, i was looking fir a big one head and all but nope, they didnt have any, i bought some frozen raw shrimp with the peel on. I had 45 gl of new saltwater made and pumped it to the tank.
The tank had approx. 75 lbs of rock in it and 30 lbs of new Caribsea sand.

I put 3 shrimp in the tank. Tank specs are. SG 1.025, Temp 79,

Its been awhile since ive done this, do you think the tank will cycle with out issue. When do i start testing. And comments would help. Thx

No worries about cycling the tank, i got up this morning and the water in the tank was down an inch, i looked in the sump and no water. The floor was wet and the back corner was dripping.

Thats just great. It wasn't leaking last night but thems the breaks i guess.
I had a 50 gl tank in the basement so i rushed down stairs and started siphoning the 40 gl of water into it.

Its all dine now and trying to move the tank and stand out of the way so i could suck up the water and the stand literally falls apart. Now what? I look around and all i see is equipment in buckets and tanks i can't use and i think I'm done.

I think I'm going to take some time off and see if thats it and sell everything or get a new tank. Have a great week every one

F'N BALLZ MAN!

That's just insult to injury...on a silver lining aspect, better that it happened now than if you had it all stocked...it would have been disasterous and rage-a-holic on a exponentially worse degree.

Yup i was beside myself. I had bought the tank 2 years ago thinking that it would be my last tank. I have a Trigger sump for it and a SWC 150 sss skimmer. Everything to accent that peticular tank. An Mp 10 with battery back up. Etc etc

Yes i am very disappointed but life goes on. I was considering getting out once i sell my 125 and all the accessories. Or maybe get a new tank built. 30x30x24 cube. Maybe or maybe not.

An update on the 60 cube
So after some soul searching i thought I'd give this tank another go, i took the caulking out if it and saw a hole in the bacj corner. I decided to take the pane off and get another one.

I looked around for some glass and contacted Miracles to see if they could make me one it had to be 24x24x25 with a black backing. So they said sure, cost would be 86.49.

I waited 10 days and picked it up and bought the scs1200 sealant. Thats what they use so i thought why not, another 20 bucks. I cleaned all the glass really well and put it on and it was very good. I must say that the crowd at Miracles were excellent to deal with. They gave me some tips to adhearing it and it went well,

I water tested it for a week in the basement and everything was great. Hey I'm back on track, so i thought huh.
I took everything upstairs like 20 trips rock, sand, equipment and more equipment. I assembled everything and started the cycle again. 3 days in and I'm at timmies getting a coffee and i get a call.

Theres water every where get home quickly. I thought what the hell not another leak? Nope it wasn't a tiny leak in the corner, the bottom broke, yup cracked in 3 places and by the time i got home there was 2 inches left in the tank. See pictures

Needless to say i was beside my self once again. It was the stand, not level in the back corner and too much weight in a small space. That was two weeks ago. A few picks of when it was good.
