Here's one of the groups of mangroves, about a month ago.
These are the ones that are growing slowly. I will post a pic of the other ones with stupidly massive leaves when I get home this eve.

Here's the impressive root growth when I plucked them from the sump.

I noticed the roots on these ones seem to grow in a different manner than one other variety I have had. the roots here tend to be like yours - very fat straight. whereas the other variety has a lot of very fine roots.
the leaves are also not the same.

nice post fesso. that looks pretty cool... bet it'll look way better once it's gottan a few years on those plants. that's an interesting idea.
