Default Breeders section???

Is there a Breeders section in the FW/SW. sections???

It would be nice to get this done for more specific needs in the hobby, and get more people involved and to educate and awareness of this interesting part of the hobby???
If you have one already can you point it out, but I don't think so?

We should encourage this as most people are interested to trying out breeding, and it gives the breeders a chance to share needed knowledge and build a better fish community!

Just a thought to increase interest.

I agree. I think swissguard kind of has one for clown fish. More of his thread for baby clown fish. But still an interesting read.

Would really like a BREEDING section for specific types of fish and inverts.

Yes, it is very important area in the hobby for those interested in breeding and learning. Other sites have this in a specific section that have a FW/SW section for all fish types, inverts, just about any type of breeding in the hobby. Navigation of a site that is more catered and specific and easier to use, as more breeders can share the knowledge and get others interested involved more in the hobby.
IMO this is the next step in fishkeeping for most people that want a more advanced level for the handling of fish. As we all know what fish do once they mature in a group of their own... They Breed!!!
Most of of find this fascinating and rewarding, and it will bring more people together whether Pros or just want to learn this side of fishkeeping, and I think most of do explore this at one time or another. It's another way of obtaining quality fish from breeders here in Canada, which we don't know about, and have a better quality in stock than buying at a commercial rate where fish have poor genetics and are already stressed out from over shipping and of course pricing. Just a better way to inform and promote the hobby for us that want to learn more. I hope others feel this way as we search for quality fish here at home, in Canada!

Hi guys,

Just to make sure I'm clear on what is being asked here, you are requesting that we add a breeder section where discussion over breeders can be had there?

I think that is the general idea.
Maybe have a Breeder heading and 3 subsection under it.

1. FW
2. SW
3. Inverts

Not sure if it could be done but that would be nice.

Yes, exactly, for pros to beginners!
The question most commonly asked are,
I'm looking for a breeder?
How can I breed...?
Brings in a common topic in its own section, and subsections for each fish class, in either the FW/SW SECTIONS. It can be done anyway , but members Feedback's are most important to me, as I would like to learn more about breeding and meeting fellow breeders, hobbyist and the sharing of knowledge.
Hey most of us can't find good quality, its in our own community that has this to offer us already.

Thank-you for taking the time to review this , hopefully we all can build a better and informed site here on GTA.
You can only get advice from experienced people , and it would encourage people to learn and stay in the hobby... Educate!!!

I think this is a great idea. Breeding is a very specific part of this hobby. A section dedicated to it makes sense. Having a section where local breeders and hobbiest can post and share knowledge about breeding saltwater and freshwater fish/inverts is a common section on a lot of other forums.

Hey there,

Thank you for clarifying for us!
I will have to bring this to the mod team before it can be implemented.
I will write back here once I have an update from the team!
Does anyone else have any suggestions?

Thank you for your patience.

Richard.
