I decided to remove some small driftwood pieces from my aquarium because they were crumbling when I was moving them during a recent water change. I had ordered them from eBay, 6 years ago. In hindsight, I probably shouldn't have trusted the glue job (to the small anchor slates) to be free of toxins, but luckily, they didn't cause any problems.
Does this usually happen to driftwood after extended periods of being submerged? The auction seller is no longer active, so I am wondering if it was just the wrong wood, or not. Thanks.
