Have a cottage cheese tub of duckweed. Some of it is yellowed, but most is good condition. Will throw it out in a few days if it isn't claimed.
Free for pick-up, or if you have any of the following as tradebait, would be appreciated:
* 1 small SAE
* Microworm starter culture
* any low-light...
All floaters are great at keeping algae at bay in two ways; by lowering light levels and by using up ammonia & excess nutrients.
Floaters I have:
Lesser duckweed - small, spreads like mad.
$3.00 for lots
Giant Duckweed - also spreads, & easier to remove than lesser & looks good mixed...
hey guys i didnt know whether to post this here or in the plant section but anyway, im hoping you guys can help me out...
can goldfish(orandas/telescope) live on duckweed as a main source of food and give them flakes and pellets as treats?
or should it be the other way around?
I've got a bunch of duckweed - enough to cover 1.5-2 30*12 tanks - that I'd like to trade/give away - If you have any other plant/moss in return it would be appreciated, but by no means required.
If there's no interest by midweek it will be going in the green bin.
So its time to empty out my 90 of its larger DW. Its actually nice stuff and great turtle, goldfish snacks if you have them.
Its got red underneath and is a bit easier to remove than the smaller DW. It grows at a good pace.
I also have MTS if anyone needed some but they are limited...
