I have one harlequin shrimp in stock, $28, it would depend on how big your tank is and how many asterinas you have if it could eradicate them

You're welcome, if you have a bunch of asterinas that are easy to grab I will take them since I need to keep a population to feed the harlequin shrimp that I import

 

Carl out of curiosity, how many asternia stars do they go throu in a given day? I've always loved these shrimp, but being a specialized feeder I have stayed away from them 😔

 

Definitely keep your eye on the stars as they can do some zoa damage
It's worth a shot to try a Harlequin but I had a mated pair and they preferred chocolate chip or sand sifting stars
The problem with asterinas is that they propagate by splitting (therefore the odd shapes and missing legs) so you need to eradicate 100 % of the population or you will never get rid of all of them
You can also use tongs and grab them by hand but talk about tedious ...

I dump a bunch of asterinas in his tank and add more when I don't see any stars on the glass, I never really keep track , maybe ten a day
