Found this little guy hiding my rock work when I got home today! Ya for my first inhabitant. Hopefully he doesn't cause to many problems. Also not sure if this is normal but it almost looks like my rock is getting some sort of white coating(second pic) on it is this normal, good, bad, etc? And I do have some coralline algae starting as well

It looks lime the rock might be bleaching from either the light or possibly from being in saltwater. Yes that star is a good guy although I don't think its from my tank but who knows

Great to hear that your tank is coming along well

Thanks! So do you think I should reduce my lighting at all?

That rock was dry rock that I had cured and was in salt water at some point

And that frag seems to hanging in there

I'm lazy and I never reduce my lights. Although I have a lot of water volume to deal with problems. Let er rip!!!

With the rock, that does happen sometimes so just let it go thru its life cycle. Soon enough it will be brown, green, grey, green again, dark brown, and eventually purple or sometimes even orange and red!
