Hi everyone, I am brand new to the saltwater aquarium and checked Big Al's they told me I need about 30lbs of live rock at $11.99 lb, can anyone advise where I can get it cheaper?

Retail, depending on where it is collected, will cost you anywhere from $8-12/lb.

You can find better $ from members here or Kijiji selling off due to downsizing system or getting out of the hobby.

Alternatively, you can build t least 75% of the aquascape with dead/dry rock or use "Marco" rock....about $4-6/lb if you cherry pick out of the bin or $3-4/lb for a box and roll the dice. Then add a few pieces of LR the "seed" the rest of the rock.

Also with substrate, use one bag of "live sand" and the rest dry.
