Hi,
I have been looking to restart marine fish hobby for a few weeks and was fortunate enough to have purchased a fairly established 35G tank with a few fish, corals, and live rocks. The live stocks in there looks pretty healthy. Initially I wanted to buy a dry setup, but this was a good deal and the seller just wanted to sell everything.

I want to fix/upgrade the hardwares, so I am wondering members here knows where/who could help me with baby sitting all these live stock while me trying to upgrade the equipment. Any kind members here have the capacity to help out? I am definitely willing to pay reasonably for this help.

The biggest issue is the tank has been without lighting for a week now because of the blown t5 bulb. I dont know exactly the type of coral in there but I can only assume this cant be good for them. The few fishes in there seems to be active and healthy.

Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I look forward to frequent this forum!

PS. This is actually a Red Sea Max 130 setup, I am searching for a reputable website/store carrying their parts, any recommendations on that would also be appreciated.

thanks for reading this!

What are you looking to have babysat? That will be very useful to people to decide if they can help or not. Depending on what I can help.

Hey clearnet, it's pretty simple really. since you got live rock, etc. I'd get plastic buckets/boxes with lids from home depot or any other hardware store that's 35G (one called strong box is 35G I believe) and place your livestock in there. get two of them, one is for most of the livestock, the other to put the materials and equipment from sump. Hook them up with two return pumps that are equally rated. Put them on a shelf or on the floor together. it goes for $11 each.

I've been using them for holding livestock temporarily, quarantine, curing or cycling rocks the whole year. Once done with them you just wash and stack them up.

Thanks for the kind gesture! I will PM you to arrange the pick up.

Also, thanks for all other poster's suggestion. I ended up not picking up this particularly setup. Instead, I found a 130D, although significantly more expensive, but offers a lot more and newer items.

So far, all the corals and fish visible in the aquarium appeared to have survive fine. I havent properly setup the aquascape yet so some corals may have not been positioned properly or being pressed. Hopefully I will have some time to do this tonight. I will try to take some pics of each live rock and hopefully get some help from you guys identifying the corals!

The setup I have also have two strips of LEDs. Were you able to hook the LED up to the timer? What sort of lighting schedule are you on?

Yes i connected both daylight and night-time LED to the timer ; daylight and night light on separate LED drivers. Night light ( 2 LED ) use original driver
As for schedule 9p.m-9.a.m night light ;
9am- 1pm 10% ;
1-2 pm increase from 10 to 50 % where it stay until 8 pm
8-9 pm gradually decrease to min before night light
Still experimenting.
