Well I was on the fence on what to do but a PM sent me in the right direction, the MFC site is back up and running and better than ever, as it stands just the forum is live but I plan on making a actual site (as time permits).

To all MFC members you will have to re-create your account.

I thank all that choose to support the MFC.

Slightly off topic, but are you running the forum software off a server at home or do you pay someone for the service? I'm thinking of setting up a forum for my condo complex so I'm just curious.

A local host as in a hosting company or a friend locally hosting your stuff? If it's a company, who do you use?

Sorry they do this as a favour and not really as a business.

The GTA and The MFC make a great team.

There has been talk of that, since we are both huge supporters of one another, the problem being to those that choose not to be part of the MFC, we feel we want everyone to enjoy there time on GTA with out any pressure to join any other sites or clubs.

We both feel this is the best approach to keep things fair and equal to all members that use GTA.

The previous post is a bit older so I think Grey might have the MFC on hold for the moment. Bad me.. I haven't spoken to him in a long while.

Just saw Grey the other night. MFC is no more. He's taking a break from fish while he moves.

Yes, the MFC is no more.

It is a long story, but since I choose not to bore you with all the details, members from another club started a hate mail campaign against the MFC. they targeted members, suppliers, and myself on a personal level. I never would have thought such terrible things would happen over fish and this wonderful hobby, but I guess they do. So after finding all of this out I decided it was best to shut things down and get beack to why I am in the hobby in the first place, THE FISH !!

I have moved since then and have never looked back, I will never again be part of any fish club and recommend to anyone looking to join any club that you do your homework to make sure the club is the right fit for you.

I am still active in the hobby and still keep in touch with a few old club members and have now ventured back into the world of forums. But some things don't change, still willing to help with any advice I can give and still look forward to many years of this great hobby and pastime.
