I just noticed a thin yellow worm on my tank glass and then it disappeared into the sand. It is the size and thickness of a sewing needle.

Does anyone know what is and where it came from ?

Most importantly is it safe to keep in the tank ?

It's probably a harmless nematode. I've seen green/yellow ones in my tank before. As far as I know they're not harming anything.
